Thank you for visiting Kismet Crochet!!  I am a wife and mother of 3 children and I have been crocheting since I was 5 years old when, after much begging, my grandmother "finally" taught me how to crochet.  I still love crocheting today, it makes me fell close to my grandmother and remember the times we would spend crocheting together when I was very young.

I have a degree in Apparel Design and strive to create modern and stylish crochet patterns that follow current fashion trends and don’t look like they belong in your grandmother’s closet. I have an eye for detail and create my patterns so they are easy to understand, workable, and result in a successful finished product that you are happy with!

 

I especially have a passion for Tunisian Crochet techniques and creating styles that resemble knit pieces but are still constructed using traditional crochet techniques.  If you are a crocheter but have never tried Tunisian Crochet I urge you to give it a try, I think you will love it!

 

 Tunisian crochet is great because it ususes traditional crochet techniques but modified slightly and using a long crochet hook (tunisian or afghan hook) but it will give more of a "knit-look" to your pieces.  I encourage you try one of my beginner/intermediate Tunisian patterns and I know you will be hooked!
